Our seniors started sharing their favorite recipes with each other and we loved them so much we wanted to share them with you! This recipe is shared by Ulla! Along with her delicious recipes, Ulla enjoys sharing stories of her days as a model in Paris and NY, where she mingled with Audrey Hepburn and Salvador Dali!
3 tbsp. each of butter & oil
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1 big or 2 small onions, sliced
6 small potatoes peeled & cubed
1 ½ - 2 c. red wine
½ c. of peas 2 carrots sliced
8 string beans cut in 3 each
1 chicken, cut in 6 pieces
Lg. bunch of thyme
½ c. chicken broth or water
Soy sauce, salt & pepper
1) Heat pan with butter & oil.
2) After about 7 minutes add onion and garlic. Simmer about 10 minutes.
3) Add chicken pieces, 1 cup of broth or water, ¾ - 1 cup of wine, potatoes,
and half of the thyme.
4) Cook for about ½ hour then put vegetables and cook 10-15 minutes more
with rest of thyme & wine.
5) Taste for soy sauce, salt & pepper and serve.
